Teofilo Folengo (Italian pronunciation: [teˌɔːfilo foˈleŋɡo]) (8 November 1491 – 9 December 1544), who wrote under the pseudonym of Merlino Coccajo[a] or Merlinus Cocaius in Latin, was one of the principal Italian macaronic poets.
